Ohio Budget Bill Requires Board Verification Fee
Substitute House Bill 1, Ohio’s 2010-2011 budget bill which became effective on July 17, 2009, requires the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors to charge $24.00 for verification requests.
The verification fee is charged whenever a registrant or former examinee requests from the Board a verification of registration or exam information, such as type of exam taken, date and score.
The Board’s staff spends a considerable amount of time processing verification requests so it became necessary to begin charging a fee.
